June 2019 Favorites

June has truly been a proper summer month. The weather here in Slovenia has been really hot and sunny. It has also been a month of minimal makeup, because heat can't handle a full face of makeup on me. I get really oily. That is why I mostly feature easy to use products in this months favorites as well as some newbies that have really impressed me.

Revlon Photoready Candid Foundation - 120 Buff

I love Revlon Colorstay foundation. It's one of my all time favorites. Recently, I've heard some people rave about their new Candid foundation and decided to give it a go. First thing that bothers me is that there is only 22 ml of product in it. Usually foundations hold about 30 ml of product. I got it in the shade 120 Buff and it's a good match for me now, a bit darker than 150 Buff in Colorstay Combination/Oily foundation. It's got good medium coverage, but isn't as heavy or as thick as Colorstay. I feel like this is summer equivalent to Colorstay with a tad more natural finish. So far I have been really liking it. I do minimal foundation on those summer hot days and go heavier with concealer, where I need it.

This is giant and I doubt I'll use it up all. It has that typical warm slightly orange toned bronzer shade, but I find it works great as a light dust all over the face to warm up my lighter foundations and give my face some dimension. It also blends fairly well. I have been using it a lot this month. Unfortunately, it's poorly made, so my closing already broke.

I have been going heavy on this. It's one of my all time favorite highlighters and for some reason, I just reached for it this month a lot. It gives your that gorgeous champagne warm glow that has finely milled shimmer in it. I already hit the pan on it and am dreading the day that I run out of it, because it's an expensive product to repurchase. I love applying highlighter on decolletage and arms in the summer to give my body some glow as well.

L.O.V. BLUSHment Blurring Blush - 10 Be The Game Changer

I already have one of these blushes in shade 30 Beautiful Minds Empower Other. This has quickly become one of my favorite blush formulas ever. It's baked and usually combines two tones. 10 Be The Game Changer has pale yellow mixed with warm pink. Combine them both and you get the most gorgeous sheeny flushed looking pink cheeks with almost cool sheen. It applies like a dream and blends just as well. These also have floral scent to them. I never really liked pink blushes, but for some reason, this has changed lately. This is that kind of natural shade that goes with everything.

I have a bunch of colorful Glimmersticks from Avon and this is by far the most wearable summer shade. Glistening Topaz is warm copper bronze. Its creamy formula applies like a dream and it makes it so easy to create a soft definition. I even use small brush to wing it out. Pigmentation is great with one swipe. Once it sets, it stays in place. I love this for quick makeup, when I don't have the time to do full eye makeup.

Coloured Raine Eyeshadows - Gingerbread, Glamour, Who, Me?

I bought these because they were on sale and I am always trying to find new single shadows to build my custom empty palette. All of these have amazing pigmentation, but I was most impressed with how easily they blend out. Mattes can sometimes be harder to blend out, but not these. I have two more shade of these, but I didn't include them here, because I mostly just used these three so far. Gingerbread is my perfect medium warm brown that I use in the crease or all over the lid. Glamour is surprisingly unique shade. It looks silver in the pan, but it also has golden metallic sheen to it. I love using it in the inner corner or as pop of shimmer on the lid. Who, Me? is metallic medium copper that is great for on the lid and it pairs well with most medium warm mattes.

I think this got status of my favorite lip gloss, at least this year. I use it all the time, when I run out of time to finish my makeup and I just want something colorful on the lips, but that also feels comfortable. It has that thicker formula that isn't sticky, but feels super comfortable on the lips. Mystic Sand is also that very wearable warm brownish pink shades that goes with everything. I am sad we don't have these in our stores anymore, because I know I will want to repurchase it.

Avon Attraction Sensation Eau de Parfum

I adored Avon Attraction Rush perfume and I had a feeling, I would love this one too. I can safely say that this is my new favorite fragrance. It's sweet oriental fragrance with a bit of florals. Main notes are plum, jasmine, cashmere wood and bold leather. Leather makes it feel so much sexier and deeper. I have been using it every single day since I got it and I know I'll use it up quickly. It's now officially my new favorite fragrance in my collection.
