Living in the countryside we get our fair share of refugee animals that are either lost or worse, dumped out of the car door of someone from town that no longer wants the animal. Our latest visitor is a orange tabby male cat. Kristi has adopted it and is feeding it.. it is very thin. Want to help us name it? Please share your suggestion.
Here he is peeking out from under our deck which is where he's seeking shelter.
Do you know of Pioneer Woman? The blogger, Food Network star, writer, mother of 4 and ranch wife? If not.. well.. you're a rare one! She just brought out a line of products and I ordered a few things. This is the glassware, 4 little bowls and I just love them! They are gorgeous, heavy and well-made.
This is embossed in the bottom of the bowls.
They are available at Walmart.com - I also got some kitchen utensils.. very well made. (I am not a sponsor, I just like these things!)
I ran across a quart jar in the pickle jar pattern of my gallon jar.. on Etsy and had to have it. I've never seen a quart jar like this.
I just love the twisted rope pattern of it.
Yesterday our son Shawn asked us to attend the graduation of their son Gabriel from Karate class. It was an amazingly large event in their son Michael's brand new high school in Vancouver, WA. The auditorium was really amazing!
That's Gabe in the black in the middle.
It was fun to watch all the kids perform.
At the end some of the instructors and most advanced students put on quite a show! Afterwards we went out to dinner at a fun little Italian place in old town Vancouver. A fun time was had by all.
I will have to bid you adieu, I'm off to a Daughters of the American Revolution meeting of the Portland Chapter -- then racing off to swim with Gracie! Goodness, life can be so busy! I hope you have a nice week ahead. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
