For a long time I wanted to meet Leanne Today's Stuff. I do love Leanne's blog, her writing is beautiful and her posts are fun, thought provoking, interesting, amazing, informative and more. Sometimes all the above at once. Living at opposite ends of the country make meeting rather more difficult but us visiting Cornwall opened up a more convenient opportunity.
Leanne was happy to travel across Cornwall to visit us at our campsite on the Roseland peninsula. I was looking forward to a day at our lovely beach. The weather was not on our side however and on the day of the visit I awoke to torrential rain and howling gales. I was rather nervous because I am a bit awkward around people I have not met. I needn't have worried (you knew that of course). We had a lovely time. We drank tea and ate scones that Annie made, chatted, played loud games,went for a blustery happy walk and drank some more tea. The time passed rather too quickly.
Our three little boys were lovely together. There was no awkwardness nor shyness, they just played and chatted as if they had never done anything else.
It is really special to meet someone with whom you have formed an online relationship through your blog. I have now met two bloggers and I hope to meet many more over the years. If you are coming my way, please do let me know! Also, I am in London from the 12th of October for a few days if you are based nearby.
